Two Blog Posts in one day? yes I know!

Anyway, this is a story that actually really impressed me, and just goes to show the supremity of FJ.

An eXceem user (MJ10) requested that FJ added iTunes vouchers to their Apple site. Within 2 hours they were up, so if you're after some new music for free, sign up now!

A user by the name of adambg over at the exceem forums has created some brand new gadgets for Windows7 and Vista! He's reinvented some old ones that he made a little while ago, tidied them up and changed the code.

So far there's only two ways to update it, but FJ will probablies give him permission for real time or frequent updating.

Changes from version 1:
  • Completely redone code: now there is no need to go into the html file and change your FJ ID manually, I have written settings where you can do this much more easily.
  • I have made it smaller so it only shows your stats now, This means you could fit quite a few in your sidebar if you are on lots of different FJ sites.
  • Images are cached and only refresh every time you restart computer: this is because at the moment FreebieJeebies have not given me permission to make it automatically update in case it harms their servers. However, the auto-updating gadget is ready to be deployed if I get permission

The LOVEFiLM offer has been taking it's time to go green for a short while now, but it seems it's all sorted now and they're getting approved quickly again.
